SAND CASTINGS

Somerset Foundry & Machine Co. is capable of making gray iron castings from ounces to 18,000 pounds in Green Sand and No Bake molding. We are also able to make ductile, Ni Hard and Ni Resist from 1 pound to 900 pounds.

Green Sand molding is a faster, more economical way to produce castings, which enables customers to receive their products in a timelier manner.

No Bake molding produces higher quality castings and Somerset Foundry is able to be cost effective by utilizing two mechanical reclaiming systems, two 600 lb/min. mixers and a 100 lb/min. mixer for smaller cores.

Watsontown Foundry is capable of producing gray iron castings from ounces to 2000 pounds also, in Green Sand and No Bake molding. However, they can make ductile from one to 1,300 pounds and Ni Hard and Ni Resist from one to 1,800 pounds.
